in the Daughters of Penelope it is important
that we are connecting with one another, as did our Sisters of ancient
Greece when they joined together to promote
important causes, assist their society and assure proper care and
education for their families. They strove, as we now strive, to get others
to join with us in achieving our goals.
We raise money for countless charities, civic organizations and our Church
-- we support educational foundations and give hundreds of thousands of
dollars to our youth to further their education. We are doing great things
and making a difference in the world,
To be successful it is important that we are connecting with one another.
In connecting with one another, we emphasize the greatness of the
Daughters of Penelope and why we dedicate the time and energy to our
wonderful programs and goals. We reveal how the programs, activities and
members of the Daughters of Penelope have a significant impact on others
and in our society. We show the many benefits of others becoming a part of
this great organization.
These are exciting times for our organization as we near our 80th
Anniversary and as we prepare for the excitement of going to beautiful and
historic Greece for our 2008 Supreme Convention. Let's celebrate the many
exciting programs we have this year in all of our Chapters and Districts
while we plan to meet in Greece in July and plan for the upcoming
celebration of our 80th Birthday in 2009.
In displaying by our actions the excitement we have for the Daughters of
Penelope, we show others the interest, energy and enthusiasm that comes
with being a member of this organization. By
being an active member, we reveal the many
wonderful exciting advantages and benefits of membership in the
Daughters of Penelope.
